Poster design for The Grand Budapest Hotel based on the quote:
"Whence came these two radiant celestial brothers, united for an instant as they crossed the stratosphere of our starry window. One from the east and one from the west" - Agatha
I really enjoyed working on this project as I found it a challenge at first, but I really love the film so it soon became easy for me to choose a quote to use.
I focussed on the "two radiant celestial brothers" part of the quote and took it very literally. The stars Castor and Pollux are the two brightest stars in the constellation Gemini and are often referred to as the 'heavenly twins' and were brother in Greek Mythology. I, therefore, recreated a star chart showing Gemini and the two stars to be the design for my poster.
